Earning my first certification after attending Trek Fitting University in 2008 for the first of 3 times. Each course taken helped to further my knowledge and excitement for the trade. This was an extremely formative time for me as a new fitter. In the following years going on to study additional fitting systems like Bike-Fit have helped establish the foundation for the fitting protocol I have developed and now use with clients. Adding to my experience, the opportunity was presented to me to perform fittings for the full team roster of racers custom frames to be constructed by Don Walker for his cx racing program as well.
As a current member of the International Bike Fitting Institute, I am committed to furthering my fitting knowledge & education to keep pace with the constant evolution of the bicycle industry and fitting practices. I have performed hundreds upon hundreds of fittings in my carer. Being reliant on my experience and training, not just on technology brings better solutions to issues for my clients.
I began my nearly 30 years of experience working in the specialty cycling industry immediately out of college. Serving in roles of sales, mechanic, sponsorship, marketing, and for the last 18 years focusing primarily on the profession of bicycle fitting. To say the bicycle has been my life's work would be an understatement.
My bike racing history spans roughly 25 years starting as an 11 yr old junior on the road. I eventually worked my way through the ranks to a cat 1/pro. I wrapped up my racing career pulling triple duty as cat 2 racer as well as team director and sponsorship manager for the Don Walker Cycles pro/am cyclocross team. Ultimately hanging up my racing wheels after the birth of our son 10 years ago to focus that time on helping to raise our young family. To this day I am still a extremely avid cyclist, riding any chance I can get and sharing that love of the bike w/ my wife and our son.
